3: developing the design
Community buildings often present complex design
challenges. Addressing these starts with the Project
Brief. A design that grows out of Design Ideas should
resolve the social and organisational needs of your service. As
the design develops, the project team is asked for specific input
at each stage that follows. We help lay people to understand the
designs by using scale models, 3D drawings and marking out the footprint
of a design at full scale with chalk lines and string.
