Fiona's
interest in cross-cultural research and socially
responsive design has led to work in informal settlements,
conventional architecture and government. Upon graduating, she lived
and worked in Indonesia with squatter communities on their housing
and in Papua New Guinea, teaching and participating in architectural
consultation and model construction on a community housing project.
Fiona then worked in government, first with
the NSW Department of Planning as an urban designer developing
government strategies and then with the Department of Immigration
and Citizenship (DIAC). Through the DIAC
Graduate Development Program she furthered her experience
and understanding of differing socio-economic issues of migrants
and refugees. At Constructive Dialogue, Fiona enjoys working with
inspiring people in an environment that enables her to apply her
diverse experience and knowledge to design projects, contributing
positively to the well being of clients and ultimately end-users.
